BAVARIA'S QUALITY PRIZE Prize 2005

The bavarian quality prize is a bavarian quality award that has been awarded
since 1993. It was the first national award of this kind in Germany. It is given
by the bavarian state minister for economy, traffic and technology.

It is not possible to nominate oneself. Nominations for the possible
companies to be awarded can only be made by members of the expert
committee of the bavarian quality prize
(associates for industry, trade,
commerce, service industry and the bavarian state ministry for economy,
traffic, technology and infrastructure).

The nominated companies receive a detailed catalogue of questions with
open and closed questions. In some cases the questions can be completed
with informations on the company or products. It needs to be explained, what
actions are taken in defined quality categories and discribed which of these
have been achieved.

The assessments of the application forms are reviewed by the professor
for business administrations, business management, logistic and
production - University Prof. Dr. Horst Wildemann (Technical University
Munich).

The election of the prize winners in the area of "company" is ruled by an
expert committee.
The suggestions need to be confirmed by the bavarian
state ministry for economy, infrastructure, traffic and technology.
