OUR CARE MODULE

We orientate from the care module by Krohwinkel.

To maintain our quality of care, we follow the care module by Monika
Krohwinkel. Our reasoning is that this module opens our eyes to see and
recognize the variety of human life. It doesn't only show us how to care, but
it also shows us how to support every single person individually.

It helps us to enable each of our young patients to lead a satisfactory life.

A big part of this, are the activities and important experiences of daily life
(AEDL's). With those activities Krohwinkel assumes that every person
has the ability to realize themselves.

The individual activities are not to be seen isolated, but in relation to each
other.

Following, is a list with AEDL's by Krohwinkel:

  • ability to communicate
  • ability to move
  • to maintain vital functions of life
  • to care for oneself
  • ability to eat and drink
  • ability to excrete
  • ability to clothe oneself
  • ability to rest and sleep
  • ability to entertain yourself, to learn and develope
  • to feel and act as a woman or man
  • to maintain secure and supportive surroundings
  • to secure and form special parts of life
  • to deal with difficult experiences in life
